Elly is a Sacramento native with experience in political fundraising, campaign operations, donor cultivation and event strategy at the local, state, and national levels.

Before joining SGR Consulting in 2025, Elly served in the Office of California Governor Gavin Newsom, holding several roles over the course of her tenure in the administration. 

In the Governor’s Office, Elly served as Deputy Director of Protocol, helping develop, organize, and execute Governor Newsom's international travel and foreign dignitary engagements. Elly also served as Special Assistant to the Governor, working closely with the Governor's senior team to track and advance his priorities while serving as the Governor's daily point of contact for all requests, correspondence and briefings. Additionally, Elly served as the Deputy Director of Scheduling, where she helped organize and lead events and official travel for the Governor across California, the United States, and internationally.

Building on her work inside the Governor’s Office, Elly was tapped to support Governor Newsom’s political team, helping operationalize strategic planning and logistics for fundraisers, GOTV, and campaign events in California and throughout the country.

In 2024, Elly took a temporary leave of absence from the Governor's Office to serve as Finance Director for Assemblymember Evan Low’s congressional campaign in Silicon Valley. There, she helped direct the campaign’s fundraising operation and cultivate relationships across the Bay Area and throughout California, as well as in Washington, D.C., New York, and Chicago.

At SGR Consulting, Elly works with political campaigns, nonprofit organizations, and civic clients on state and national fundraising, donor cultivation, development, and event strategy.

Elly received her B.A. in Political Science from UCLA. She first got her start in politics as a summer intern for then-California Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom.
